Iran-US Conflict Escalates: Iran Claims Downing 2 US Fighter Jets and 2 Helicopters, Middle East on Red Alert

TEHRAN/WASHINGTON (Bureau Report): Direct military confrontation has erupted between Iran and the United States amid intense regional tensions. The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) claims to have successfully targeted and destroyed two highly advanced US fighter jets and two rescue helicopters near the strategic Strait of Hormuz.
Incident Details and US Losses
According to international media reports, Iranian forces targeted a US A-10 Thunderbolt and an F-15 fighter jet near the Strait of Hormuz. Reports indicate that the pilot of the A-10 managed to eject via parachute before the crash but remains missing. When the US military dispatched two helicopters to rescue the pilot, Iranian forces opened heavy fire, resulting in their destruction as well.
Iran’s Stance: “A Black Day for America”
The IRGC has released official footage of the entire operation. Iranian officials stated, “Today is the darkest day in America’s military history,” making it clear that any enemy violating Iran’s maritime or aerial boundaries will face a crushing response.
White House Reaction and Rescue Operations
On the other side, White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt confirmed the incident, describing the situation as “extremely grave.” US defense sources stated that one American military official is currently missing, and a large-scale search and rescue operation has been launched to locate them.
Global Impact and Oil Market Turmoil
The Strait of Hormuz, where the incident occurred, is the world’s most vital oil transit route. Following this military clash, fears of a sudden spike in global crude oil prices have emerged. Defense experts warn that if this escalation continues, it could serve as a precursor to a much larger global conflict.
