ISLAMABAD; Maroof International Hospital, F-10 Markaz, Islamabad is being accused of outrageous charges and price gouging for basic medical supplies. Patients are claiming that the hospital charges Rs. 600 for a tissue box and Rs.3300 as rent for a hospital dress even when they don’t use them.
A patient, recounts his experience in the hospital saying, “I was admitted to Maroof Hospital for one night and was charged Rs. 600 just for a tissue box which I didn’t even use! It’s outrageous what they are doing to innocent patients who are already suffering.”
The issue has been brought to the attention of local authorities, who have vowed to investigate further into the matter and take necessary action against the hospital if found guilty.
