Sanghar District Administration and UNICEF Organize Influencer Engagement Program for Polio Eradication
SANGHAR: Under the auspices of the District Administration and UNICEF, an Influencer Engagement Program was organized last night at a local hotel with the resolve to protect children from the deadly disease of Polio and its complete eradication. Speaking on the occasion, Deputy Commissioner (DC) Sarah Javed said that the purpose of this program was to mobilize influential individuals of society, social media influencers, and local leaders to play an active role in the ongoing anti-polio campaign because, together, we can eliminate this disease forever.
On this occasion, health experts and relevant officials provided detailed awareness to the participants about the dangers of the Polio virus, its prevention, and the importance of the vaccine. Speakers emphasized that the complete eradication of Polio is only possible when all segments of society become part of this national campaign. Participating influencers expressed their commitment to spread positive messages regarding Polio through their platforms and to convince parents to vaccinate their children.
According to the organizers, such programs will play a vital role in raising public awareness and achieving the goal of a Polio-free Pakistan. District Health Officer, Additional Deputy Commissioner Abdul Majeed Zahrani, all Assistant Commissioners, UNICEF representative Muhammad Aftab, Dr. Shabbir Chhina, Dr. Hina, Shazia Mangrio (Mamta Program), and Civil Surgeon Aftab Azam Sriwal also addressed the occasion and shared their experiences.
