RPO Regional Command Conference Decides on Major Steps to Curb Crime and Enhance Security
GUJRANWALA (April 7, 2026): Under the chairmanship of Regional Police Officer (RPO) Gujranwala Khurram Shahzad Haider Warraich, the 2nd Regional Command Conference was held at the Regional Police Office. The meeting was attended by CPO Gujranwala Dr. Ghias Gul Khan, DPO Gujrat Rana Umar Farooq, DPO Narowal Muhammad Naveed Malik, DPO Hafizabad Kamran Hameed, DPO Sialkot Captain (R) Dost Muhammad, and DPO Mandi Bahauddin Abdul Rahim Sherazi.
The conference reviewed the law and order situation and crime trends across the region. A comprehensive analytical report was presented on crime trends, timely redressal of complaints (CMS), and the performance of various districts. Arrests, recoveries, and progress in serious crimes such as murder, kidnapping for ransom, rape, dacoity, and theft were reviewed in detail.
The meeting also discussed actions against criminal gangs, pending sensational cases, and public safety measures. Crackdowns on kite-flying, drug peddlers, arrest of proclaimed offenders, recovery of missing children/women, and the return of illegal foreigners were also reviewed. Special security measures for the upcoming Baisakhi festival and the safety of Sikh pilgrims were considered.
RPO Khurram Shahzad Haider directed all officers to use all available resources with professional expertise to eliminate crime and ensure the protection of citizens’ lives and property. At the end of the meeting, in a dignified ceremony, RPO and CPO Gujranwala pinned the ranks of SSP on DPO Sialkot Captain (R) Dost Muhammad and expressed their best wishes.
