In line with the vision of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, a vigorous crackdown against the land mafia is underway in District Sheikhupura. Deputy Commissioner Sheikhupura, Shahid Imran Marth, has assigned special tasks to all Assistant Commissioners to launch operations against illegal occupants within their respective tehsils. The Revenue Department has been strictly directed to utilize all available resources to reclaim lands from individuals who have occupied properties through forged documents. The administration has tightened the noose around illegal occupants, ensuring indiscriminate action across the district. During these operations, valuable government and public lands were retrieved from the land mafia, and FIRs were registered against several influential elements, demonstrating a practical commitment to the rule of law. The district administration reaffirmed that, under the Chief Minister’s vision, no influential person will be considered above the law, and illegal occupation of state or public land will not be tolerated under any circumstances. Citizens have lauded this effective crackdown, expressing hope that the momentum will be maintained.
​The authorities added that actions against the land mafia will be further accelerated to bring those usurping public rights to justice, ensuring transparency and a strengthened justice system.
