BISE Gujranwala Chairperson Conducts Surprise Visits to Marking Centers, Vows Transparent Exam System

In line with the Punjab Government’s vision, BISE Gujranwala is actively working for a transparent examination system, quality assessment, and a bright future for students.
GUJRANWALA: In accordance with the directives of the Government of Punjab and the Higher Education Department, Chairperson of the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) Gujranwala, Engineer Dr. Aqsa Shabir, along with Controller of Examinations Professor Nadeem Ahmad, conducted surprise and detailed visits to various marking centers established across Gujranwala, Sialkot, and Daska. These centers are currently processing the solved answer sheets of the Intermediate and Secondary School Certificate (SSC) First Annual Examinations 2026.
Key Centers Visited & Inspected
The Chairperson closely reviewed the ongoing marking process, discipline, security, safeguarding of examination records, and the facilities provided to examiners at the following institutions:
Government Graduate Islamia College, Gujranwala
Government Graduate College for Women, Gujranwala City
Government Graduate College for Women, Satellite Town, Gujranwala
Government Murray College, Sialkot
Government Jinnah Islamia Graduate College, Sialkot
Government Comprehensive School, Sialkot
Government Christian High School, Daska
Government Graduate College for Women, Daska
Government Islamia Girls High School, Daska
Directives on Security and Quality Assessment
On this occasion, Chairperson Engr. Dr. Aqsa Shabir issued strict instructions, emphasizing that no compromise will be tolerated regarding the security of solved answer sheets and the transparency of the examination process. She directed the supervisors and relevant officers to ensure foolproof security arrangements, effective monitoring, and strict implementation of the examination code of conduct to maintain public trust and strengthen the credibility of the board.
She stated:
“In line with the Punjab Government’s vision, conducting transparent exams is only half the battle; quality assessment is equally vital. This is why the Board is continuously monitoring every stage of the marking process to ensure that every candidate receives fair and accurate results reflecting their hard work.”
Facilities for Examiners & Call to Duty
Following the directives of the Higher Education Department, the Chairperson instructed the marking center supervisors to provide the best possible facilities to all examiners, head examiners, and supporting staff so they can perform their national duty in a comfortable, secure, and professional environment.
Addressing the marking staff, she remarked:
“Your honesty, impartiality, and professional expertise shape the future of thousands of students. Therefore, every answer sheet must be evaluated with the utmost care, merit, and responsibility to prevent any injustice to any student.”

Chairperson Engr. Dr. Aqsa Shabir reaffirmed BISE Gujranwala’s commitment to implementing the Punjab Government’s reform agenda by promoting transparency, merit, accountability, quality evaluation, and a modern administrative system. She concluded by stating that every decision and action taken by the Board is dedicated solely to the welfare of the students, their bright future, and the overall improvement of the education system.
