Federal Ombudsman Team Inspects Sialkot International Airport; Reviews Passenger Facilities SIALKOT: On the special directives of the Federal Ombudsman of Pakistan, Mr. Naveed Kamran Baloch, the In-charge of the Federal Ombudsman Regional Office Gujranwala, Mr. Mushtaq Ahmad Awan, along with his team, conducted a detailed visit and inspection of Sialkot International Airport. During the visit, Mr. Mushtaq Ahmad Awan met with the Chief Executive Officer of Sialkot International Airport, Air Vice Marshal (Retd.) Tanveer Ashraf Bhatti, Airport Manager Mr. Nisar Ahmad, and senior officials of all federal agencies operating at the airport. On this occasion, Airport Manager Mr. Nisar Ahmad briefed the Federal Ombudsman’s team in detail regarding the operational affairs of the airport and the measures taken to provide top-notch services to passengers. Mr. Mushtaq Ahmad Awan visited the International Lounge to personally observe the facilities being provided to passengers and gathered direct feedback from them. The passengers expressed their complete satisfaction with the overall arrangements and highly appreciated the conduct of the airport administration and staff. Following the inspection, the In-charge Federal Ombudsman presided over an important meeting with officials of all departments stationed at the airport. The meeting focused on potential challenges faced by passengers and discussed joint strategies for their immediate resolution. Passengers present at the airport lauded this initiative of the Federal Ombudsman, stating that such visits play a vital role in improving institutional performance and ensuring that public grievances reach the top authorities directly. Later, Mr. Mushtaq Ahmad Awan visited the studios of Radio Pakistan FM 101 Sialkot to participate in the special awareness program titled “Insaf Aap Ki Dehleez Par” (Justice at Your Doorstep), highlighting the role and jurisdiction of the Federal Ombudsman. During the live broadcast, he took phone calls from citizens, answered their queries, and provided detailed guidance on the free and swift mechanism for resolving complaints against federal government departments.
