Adapting their lives in accordance with the Quran and Sunnah is the most critical need of the hour for students and an essential part of Islam. Merely reciting the Holy Quran is not enough; rather, understanding it and acting upon its teachings is the true essence of religion, the message of which was delivered to us by the Last Prophet, Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH).” These views were expressed by Muhammad Shahzad Rafique, Director of Administration at Punjab Colleges Gujranwala, while addressing the “Mehfil-e-Hamd-o-Sana-e-Mustafa (PBUH)” organized by the Punjab College University Campus. In this blessed and dignified spiritual gathering, students beautifully recited the Asma-ul-Husna (Names of Allah), verses from the Holy Quran, and soulful Naats, illuminating the hearts and bringing peace to the souls of the audience. The ceremony was attended by Dean of the University Campus Shahid Saleem Khawaja, Head of BS Programs Shamim Akhtar, along with a large number of faculty members and students. In his address, Director of Administration Muhammad Shahzad Rafique further emphasized that organizing such luminous spiritual gatherings is not only a part of their institution’s glorious traditions but also an excellent source for the character-building of students and strengthening their connection with the Holy Quran.
