Faisalabad Press Club Library Dedicated to Late Journalistic Leader Parvez Shoukat.


FAISALABAD: 17 December 2024 – A special ceremony was held today at the Faisalabad Press Club to dedicate its library to the memory of the esteemed late journalistic leader, Parvez Shoukat. The event, organized under the leadership of Faisalabad Press Club Group Leader and Secretary General of PFUJ Workers, Shahid Ali, served as a heartfelt tribute to the legendary figure.

Parvez Shoukat devoted his entire life to the freedom of press, journalists’ rights, and social justice. His leadership and contributions remain a guiding light not just for Pakistan but for the global journalistic community.

 

Speaking at the event, Shahid Ali remarked:
“This library reflects the struggles, sacrifices, and exemplary character of Parvez Shoukat. He consistently stood for truth, integrity, and the freedom of journalism. We are committed to continuing his mission.”

 

Dr. Saadia Kamal, President of PFUJ Workers, also shared her thoughts, saying:
“Parvez Shoukat’s name symbolizes perseverance and determination in journalism. Dedicating this library in his honor is a profound way to keep his legacy alive. We urge the journalist community to follow in his footsteps and carry forward his mission.”

PFUJ Workers Vice President, Malik Tauseef Ahmed, added:
“Parvez Shoukat was a tireless advocate for journalists’ rights. This library in his name will forever remind us of his sacrifices and struggles. We must carry forward his mission and work together to strengthen unity within the journalistic community. I extend my gratitude to Shahid Ali for taking this meaningful initiative.”

Syed Bilal Izzat Naqvi, General Secretary of Rawalpindi Islamabad Union of Journalists (Workers), also addressed the gathering and stated:
“Shahid Ali’s initiative is highly commendable. Dedicating the library to Parvez Shoukat is not only a way to honor his ideals but also a reminder to the journalist community of his mission. Parvez Shoukat’s name will forever stand as a symbol of hope, unity, and the protection of journalism.”

Today’s ceremony was a tribute to the leaders of journalism who have always fought for truth and justice.
