Arrangements Reviewed for Punjabi Mela and Sufi Night at Shrine of Syed Waris Shah

On the special directives of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, a meeting was held at the DC Office to review the arrangements for the upcoming Punjabi Mela and Sufi Night at the shrine of Pir Syed Waris Shah. Presided over by Additional Deputy Commissioner (Finance) Mian Nazir Ahmed, the meeting followed instructions from Deputy Commissioner Shahid Imran Marth.
​Key officials, including ADC (General) Noman Ali Dogar, AC Imran Ali Harl, and representatives from the Departments of Agriculture, Auqaf, Police, Health, and MC, attended the session and provided detailed briefings on the event planning. ADC Finance Mian Nazir Ahmed directed all relevant departments to finalize arrangements regarding cleanliness, security, lighting, and other facilities. He announced that the celebrations would take place on Friday, April 17, in the suburban town of Jandiala Sher Khan.
​The schedule for the festivities is as follows:

​Agricultural Exhibition: 3:00 PM

​Kabaddi Match: 4:00 PM

​Sufi Night: 7:00 PM


​The administration ensured that fool-proof security, parking, and medical camps would be established for the visitors. Mian Nazir Ahmed remarked that the poetry of Pir Syed Waris Shah is a true reflection of Punjabi culture and civilization, beautifully intertwined with Islamic traditions.
