Bobby Flay, host of “Beat Bobby Flay,” shared insights on his dating life post-breakup during the American Century Championship on July 10.
Flay, 59, acknowledged his single status following his split from Christina Pérez, confirmed by PEOPLE in June after a three-year relationship.
“I’m just relaxed right now,” Flay told PEOPLE when asked about his dating status. “I mean, I don’t really have anything to say about that. It’s still kind of new for me, and I’m just looking forward to playing golf this week.”
This marks Flay’s third participation in the annual Lake Tahoe celebrity golf tournament, starting July 12 and running through July 14. Despite nerves, Flay expressed enthusiasm for the event and the scenic location, emphasizing the joy of spending time outdoors amidst his busy schedule.
“I love Lake Tahoe. I mean, it’s a great week here. With so much going on in my life, it’s always nice to get out to a beautiful place like this for four or five hours. It takes you away,” he shared.
Flay, known for his roles in Food Network shows like “BBQ Brawl” and “Bobby’s Triple Threat,” recently premiered new episodes and plans to travel to Paris later this month for the Olympics with his daughter Sophie, 28, an experienced community journalist with ABC7.
“She claimed to be my plus one about two seconds after I got the invite,” Flay joked, praising Sophie’s achievements and character. He also discussed his upcoming coffee table book, “Chapter One,” set for release in the fall, which reflects on his culinary career.
