Imran Khan Seeks Bail Before Arrest In All Islamabad Cases


ISLAMABAD March 27: Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan has filed a petition in the Islamabad High Court (IHC) seeking bail before arrest in cases filed against him at various police stations in Islamabad.

Imran Khan has made the federal government and others parties in the application. In the petition, he pleaded that the IHC should stop the parties from arresting him. He asked the court to accept his bail before arrest.

“The cases have been lodged against me to subject me to political victimization,” he said.

A day ago, Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) of Islamabad Police had summoned 17 Pakistan-e-Tehreek (PTI) leaders including Chairman Imran Khan.

An order had been sent to the PTI leadership for an inquiry into the case. PTI Secretary General Asad Umar, Murad Saeed, Aamir Kiyani, Shibli Faraz, and Ali Amin Gandapur had also been summoned.

PTI leaders Farrukh Habib, Omar Ayub, Hamad Azhar, Asad Qaiser, Amjad Khan Niazi, Raja Khurram Nawaz, Dr Shahzad Waseem, and focal person on legal affairs Hassan Khan Niazi had also been summoned.

Imran Khan’s Chief Security Officer (CSO) Lieutenant Colonel Retired Asim had also been summoned. They had been summoned in the case registered in police station CTD.

Ten PTI leaders including Imran Khan Asad Umar, Ali Nawaz Awan, Amir Mughal, and Jamshed Khan had been summoned in the case registered at Golra police station
