Pervaiz Shaukat and Senior Journalists Collaborate with APP’s MD Muhammad Asim Khichi for the Future of Pakistani Journalism

ISLAMABAD.  A delegation of renown journalists, led by the respected figure and president of the Pakistan Federal Union of Journalists (PFUJ) Workers, Mr. Pervaiz Shaukat, met with the Managing Director of the Associated Press of Pakistan (APP), Mr. Muhammad Asim Khichi, at his office today.

The delegation included notable members such as Mr. Tahir Rathor, Vice President of PFUJ, as well as distinguished journalists Mr. Muneeb Bukhari and a renown Journalist  Mr. Syed Bilal Izzat Naqvi. The purpose of this significant meeting was to open dialogues and engage in discussions concerning the welfare and advancement of journalists in Pakistan.

Mr.Asim Khichi, with his notable efforts and unwavering dedication towards improving the wellbeing of journalists in the APP, was the focus of high praise from the delegation. His efforts to transform the work environment and provide comprehensive support for journalists have had a tremendous positive impact on APP and the broader journalism community.

“The visit provided an opportunity for us to acknowledge and appreciate Mr. Muhammad Asim Khichi’s exceptional efforts in fostering an environment that truly values and promotes the wellbeing of journalists,” said Mr. Shaukat, the leader of the delegation.

As part of the meeting, the delegation and Mr. Khichi exchanged views on a range of issues, underscoring the role of journalists in the modern media landscape and the importance of maintaining high ethical and professional standards. Both parties agreed on the need to continue supporting efforts that uplift the journalism profession, enhance media credibility, and ensure journalists’ welfare.

The delegation also used this opportunity to extend an invitation to Mr. Khichi for a future dialogue session with the PFUJ, an offer that he graciously accepted.

Mr. Asim Khichi expressed his appreciation for the visit, stating, “The respect and recognition of our efforts by PFUJ, a distinguished body of journalists, are indeed encouraging. We look forward to maintaining a productive relationship with them for the betterment of the journalistic community.”

The meeting concluded on a positive note, with both parties looking forward to fostering an ongoing dialogue and collaboration that would further strengthen the journalism community in Pakistan
