ISLAMABAD: President Asif Ali Zardari has emphasized the urgent need to adopt advanced agricultural technologies to ensure food security in the face of growing climate change threats.
During a high-level briefing today, the President stated that Pakistan must transition from traditional farming to smart agriculture to boost crop yields. He highlighted that the agricultural sector remains the backbone of the national economy and requires immediate structural reforms.
”We need to empower our farmers with better resources and international standard techniques to withstand environmental shifts,” President Zardari remarked. He also directed relevant authorities to create a comprehensive roadmap for water conservation and sustainable development in the farming sector.
