ISLAMABAD . The Circle Registrar of Cooperative Housing Societies, Ishtiaq Ahmed Jillani, has once again demonstrated his commitment to public safety and regulatory enforcement. In a decisive move, eleven plazas in Sector E-11 have been sealed for failing to adhere to proper Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) during the rainy season.
This action reflects Mr. Jillani’s bravery, vigilance, and proactive approach towards ensuring that safety protocols are strictly followed, particularly in areas prone to flooding and other weather-related challenges. His dedication to public welfare is evident in his firm stance against any negligence that could jeopardize the well-being of residents and businesses.
Among the plazas affected are numbers 34 and 35 of the Federal Cooperative Housing Society (FCHS), which have faced ongoing issues due to the lack of separate and additional sewerage lines. Shop owners in the basements of these two plazas have been unable to start their businesses or rent them out for many years because heavy rains repeatedly turn their shops into flooded gutters.
Mr. Jillani’s leadership and swift action serve as a reminder that the safety of citizens is of utmost priority. The decision to seal these plazas underscores his unwavering commitment to upholding standards and protecting the public from potential hazards.
We commend the Circle Registrar for his vigilance and dedication to public safety. His efforts are a crucial step in maintaining the integrity of cooperative housing societies and ensuring that all stakeholders are held accountable for their responsibilities. We hope that the worthy Circle Registrar will also hold the engineers and management of FCHS accountable for their oversight in addressing the critical sewerage issues that have long plagued these properties.
