District Officer Samiuddin Sheroz Khan, a prominent PMS officer posted in the Excise & Taxation Department (Zone-1), has demonstrated extraordinary performance in a short span. Aligning with the public-friendly vision of Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz, he has not only revitalized the departmental system but also established a new precedent for transparency and honesty. Under his dynamic leadership, citizens have begun to receive immediate and practical relief, earning the widespread trust of social and civic circles. Upon assuming charge, Samiuddin Sheroz transformed traditional bureaucratic procedures by opening the doors of his office to the public. He personally monitors the front desk to listen to and resolve public grievances on the spot. In line with the Punjab Government’s digitization policy, he has activated online systems to provide services at the doorstep, including initiatives like the “Maryam Dastak App.” To ensure transparency in property transfers, the mandatory requirement of certified registry copies has been strictly implemented to avoid legal complications. Despite facing staff shortages, Mr. Sheroz has refused to compromise on performance. He emphasized that through teamwork, merit, and strict accountability, excellent results are being achieved even with limited resources.
