Mississauga — The magic of ghazal echoed once again in Mississauga as Shaam-e-Ghazal celebrated the legendary voice of the late Mehdi Hassan, fondly remembered as the “King of Ghazal.”
Speaking at a media briefing ahead of the event, Imran Mehdi Hassan, son of the iconic singer, reflected on his father’s unparalleled contribution to music. “In the world of music, Mehdi Hassan was, is, and will always remain one of a kind,” he said. “Listening to Mehdi Hassan transports you to another world. There is a purity in his voice that touches the soul.”
