Kisan Card Facilitation Centers Active: Thousands of Cards Issued in Gujranwala, Sialkot, and Narowal; Director Agriculture Visits
Kisan Card Facilitation Centers Fully Operational Across Gujranwala Division; PKR 6.2 Billion Interest-Free Loans Distributed GUJRANWALA (July 14, 2026): On the special directives of the Government of Punjab, ‘Kisan Card Facilitation Centers’ have been made fully functional at the district level across the Gujranwala division. These centers are actively providing immediate solutions to all issues faced by farmers regarding their Kisan Cards. According to the latest data, a total of 25,516 Kisan Cards have been issued in Gujranwala, 17,921 in Sialkot, and 18,937 in Narowal, while the registration process for new Kisan Cards under Phase-IV is also progressing rapidly. Under this revolutionary welfare scheme, interest-free loans worth PKR 6,221 million (6.22 billion) have been distributed so far to landowners in the Gujranwala division for timely crop cultivation. Farmers are utilizing these funds to procure fertilizers, high-quality seeds, diesel, and other agricultural inputs, enabling them to cultivate their crops on time without any financial constraints. In this regard, Director of Agriculture (Extension) Gujranwala Division, Dr. Shakeel Ahmad, paid a detailed visit to the Gujranwala Kisan Card Facilitation Center and strictly instructed the staff to resolve the issues of visiting landowners on a priority basis. Speaking to the media, he emphasized that in line with the Chief Minister of Punjab’s vision, the prosperity of farmers is the prosperity of the country. He urged that if any landowner faces any difficulty in using or obtaining the Kisan Card, they should immediately contact the facilitation center established in their respective district.
