SP Mian Moazzam Ali Holds Second Orderly Room in a Week: 21 Employees Presented, Strict Penalties Imposed on Proven Corruption, 5 Warned
Accountability in PHP Gujranwala: SP Mian Moazzam Ali Holds Second ‘Orderly Room’ in a Week; Constables Dismissed and Penalized over Corruption GUJRANWALA: Regional Officer Punjab Highway Patrol (PHP) Gujranwala Region, SP Mian Moazzam Ali, has intensified the self-accountability process within the department by holding the second major ‘Orderly Room’ within a single week. Strict disciplinary action was taken against employees involved in corruption and misuse of authority. During the Orderly Room, a total of 21 employees were presented to face various charges, including corruption, negligence of duty, and abuse of power. Following detailed inquiries and evidence, the following penalties were announced: Dismissal for Drug Abuse: One constable, found guilty of drug abuse during the inquiry, was immediately dismissed from service. Salary Reductions: Eight employees faced salary reductions after corruption charges against them were proven. Forfeiture of Service & Other Penalties: One employee was penalized with forfeiture of service, while another was issued a formal Censure. Warnings and Acquittals: Five employees received strict warnings to be highly cautious in performing their duties in the future, while cases against five others were closed (acquitted) as the allegations against them could not be proven. Speaking on the occasion, Regional Officer SP Mian Moazzam Ali categorically stated that corruption and malpractice will not be tolerated in the department under any circumstances. “Establishing a ‘Corruption-Free PHP’ and making the highways of Punjab safe for commuters are our top priorities. This strict action against the black sheep will continue unabated,” SP Mian Moazzam Ali reaffirmed.
