Gujranwala (July 17): Gujranwala Police have launched a crackdown against criminal elements, resulting in the killing of 2 dangerous suspects and the arrest of 3 others in injured condition during 5 separate encounters in a single day. CPO Dr. Sardar Ghias Gul Khan has taken notice of all incidents and requested a detailed report from the respective Divisional SPs.

Details:

• Saddar and Wahndo Police Stations: In two separate encounters, identified habitual offenders ‘Danish’ and ‘Imran alias Mano’ were killed by the fire of their own accomplices. Both suspects were wanted in dozens of cases involving murder, robbery, dacoity, and drug peddling. Illegal weapons and motorcycles were recovered from their possession, while several of their accomplices managed to escape.
• Injured Arrests: During operations by the Garjakh, Satellite Town, and Ferozwala police stations, 3 suspects—Fahad, Faizan, and Hasnain—were arrested in injured condition. These suspects were involved in heinous crimes, including robbery, motorcycle theft, and child abuse. Stolen cash, mobile phones, and weapons were recovered from the arrested suspects.

CPO Dr. Sardar Ghias Gul Khan stated that the eradication of drug dealers and criminals is essential for the establishment of a peaceful society. Special teams have been formed under the supervision of SDPOs to apprehend the fleeing suspects, and blockades (nakabandi) have been intensified across the city.
