Gujranwala: Director General (DG) Local Government Punjab, Beenish Fatima, paid an important visit to the Commissioner’s Office in Gujranwala. On this occasion, she presided over a high-level meeting to review in detail the progress of development works currently underway under the “Punjab Development Program” (PDP) in the Gujranwala Division. The meeting was attended by Commissioner Gujranwala Division, Muhammad Ali, Director Local Government, Qamar Zeeshan, and senior officials from relevant departments. During the meeting, briefings were provided on key projects, including sewerage, construction and rehabilitation of roads, drainage, and urban infrastructure. The relevant officers briefed the DG Local Government on the current status of the projects, the challenges being faced, and the utilization of funds. DG Local Government Beenish Fatima issued clear instructions that all development projects must be completed within the stipulated timeframe, and there should be no compromise on quality. She emphasized that transparency must be ensured at all costs so that the public can benefit from these facilities as soon as possible. Commissioner Gujranwala, Muhammad Ali, informed the meeting that constant monitoring of all development works is being carried out across the division, and strict instructions have been issued to the concerned departments to complete these public welfare projects on a priority basis. The meeting concluded with a renewed commitment to providing modern and sustainable municipal services to the citizens in accordance with the vision of the Government of Punjab.
