Deputy Commissioner (DC) Gujranwala, Naveed Ahmed, paid a surprise visit to the Children’s Hospital, Gujranwala, under the Chief Minister of Punjab’s Health Reforms Program. During his visit, he inspected various departments, including the Outpatient Department (OPD), Emergency, and the Pharmacy, to review the medical facilities and the availability of medicines for patients. He explicitly directed the hospital administration that any negligence in patient care would not be tolerated and emphasized ensuring the provision of timely treatment to every patient visiting the hospital. Additionally, DC Naveed Ahmed interacted with the families of the children under treatment to obtain feedback regarding the quality of facilities provided. Furthermore, under the Education Reforms Program, Deputy Commissioner Gujranwala, Naveed Ahmed, conducted an early morning visit to the Government High School for Boys, Jandiala Bagh Wala. During the summer vacations, he carried out a detailed inspection of the school premises, focusing on cleanliness, availability of clean drinking water, electricity, and the condition of the classrooms. The DC issued directives to ensure that all necessary arrangements are completed before the reopening of the school to provide an optimal educational environment for the students. He stated that the effective monitoring of educational institutions remains a top priority for the district administration.
