Cleanliness Operation Accelerated After Rain in Gujranwala, Zero Waste Target Underway

Gujranwala: Under the “Suthra Punjab” program of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, a special post-rain cleanliness operation is underway at full speed to make Gujranwala city zero-waste. In this regard, CEO Gujranwala Waste Management Company (GWMC) and MD Suthra Punjab Agency Abdul Razzaq Dogar paid an emergency visit to various areas of the city and conducted a detailed review of the cleanliness arrangements.

During the visit, they inspected various areas including Noorpura, Islam Colony, Khokharki, Commissioner Colony, Satellite Town, Peoples Colony, and Kheali, and checked the performance of the staff. Abdul Razzaq Dogar directed the officials present on the spot to immediately clear the garbage and silt accumulated after the monsoon rains so that high standards of cleanliness are maintained on all main roads and residential areas. He made it clear that no negligence in the cleanliness operation will be tolerated.

The CEO of GWMC appealed to the citizens to support the administration in keeping the city clean and to always dispose of garbage at designated places only, so that Gujranwala can be made an exemplary and green city.
