Gujranwala (Divisional Bureau Report): Commissioner Gujranwala Division, Muhammad Ali, visited the city’s most vital Metro Bus project to conduct a detailed review of ongoing construction activities, overall project progress, and site work at various locations. On this occasion, concerned officials and engineers associated with the project briefed him regarding the pace of work, encountered challenges, and the set completion timeline. Commissioner Muhammad Ali inspected various sections of the project, closely evaluating the quality and speed of road and infrastructure construction. He strictly directed the contractors and relevant departments to immediately accelerate the pace of work. He emphasized that the timely completion of the Metro Bus project is among the top priorities of the Punjab government; hence, any negligence or unnecessary delay will not be tolerated under any circumstances. He stressed upon all departments to discharge their duties with mutual coordination and an effective strategy to ensure the project’s completion within the stipulated timeframe, allowing the citizens of Gujranwala to benefit from this modern, safe, and quality transit facility at the earliest. The Divisional Commissioner directed that: Strict compliance with top engineering standards, high quality, and all safety measures must be ensured during construction. The project must be monitored on a daily basis, and all administrative and technical hurdles should be resolved on the spot. Transparency and durability must be kept at the forefront at every stage of the work. Commissioner Muhammad Ali further stated that, in accordance with the vision of Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif, providing a modern transport system across the province and completing public welfare projects on time remain key government priorities. This Metro Bus project will prove to be a major milestone in reducing traffic congestion in Gujranwala, driving urban development, and offering superior transit facilities.
