Islamabad, May 10 : The Anti Corruption Establishment (ACE) on Wednesday arrested Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Omar Sarfraz Cheema.
The police entered Cheema’s residence and apprehended him, as confirmed by Cheema’s secretary Ali Dhillon.
ACE Additional Director General Waqas Hassan assisted the team to arrest the PTI leader.
The Police also raided PTI Vice President Shah Mahmood Qureshi’s office in Multan.
The office employees were tortured by the police, while an employee was also arrested.
The raid was launched at Qureshi’s office at late night.
In a separate operation, the Punjab Police also raided the residence of Usman Dar in Sialkot and the residence of Qasim Suri, former speaker of the National Assembly.
The police arrested Qasim’s brother, while his wife was detained during protest.
The Punjab Police initiated a crackdown on PTI leaders after protests erupted throughout the country, after the arrest of PTI Chairman Imran Khan.
The Lahore police also raided former PTI MPA Mian Akram Usman house and misbehaved with women.
The police arrested Mian Akram Usman and brother Haroon Akbar.
