Islamabad: The chairman of the Crime & Investigative Reporters Association Pakistan  (CIRA), Rana Imran Latif, has decided to travel to Kenya to investigate the murder of Arshad Sharif. Sharif, a Pakistani investigative journalist, was killed in Nairobi last week.

Imran has said that he will be meeting with Kenyan authorities and Sharif’s colleagues during his visit. He added that CIRA will also be looking into the possibility of setting up a commission to investigate the murder.

Rana Imran Latif is a senior investigative journalist who is worried about the increasing number of journalistic target killings. In the past year, there have been several high-profile cases of journalists being killed in Pakistan, including Arshad Sharif.
Rana believes that these killings are a direct attack on freedom of the press and democracy. He is calling on the government to take action to protect journalists and ensure that they can continue to do their jobs without fear for their safety.

This is a developing story. Check back for updates.
