Mohammad Ali Chairs High-Level Review Meeting on Anti-Polio Campaign Under Chief Minister’s Health Reforms Program GUJRANWALA: Commissioner Gujranwala Division, Mohammad Ali, has stated that ensuring the success of the ongoing anti-polio campaign under Chief Minister Punjab Maryum Nawaz Sharif’s “Health Reforms Program” is among the government’s top priorities. For the complete eradication of the debilitating polio disease, all relevant departments must perform their duties with utmost responsibility, national spirit, and professionalism to ensure that no child in the division is missed during the vaccination drive. He expressed these views while chairing a high-level review meeting of the anti-polio campaign under the Chief Minister’s Health Reforms Program. The meeting was attended by Provincial Polio Officer Dr. Amer Ehsan, along with high-ranking officials from the Health Department, district administration, and other relevant institutions. During the session, officials provided a detailed briefing to the Commissioner regarding campaign preparations, set targets, and progress made so far. Directives for 100% Coverage and Micro-Planning Commissioner Mohammad Ali issued strict directives for the polio teams to conduct door-to-door visits to ensure that every child under the age of five receives the protective vaccine drops. He emphasized that: Special focus must be placed on micro-planning and rigorous supervision of field teams during the campaign. Creating awareness among parents must be prioritized so that there is no chance of skipping any area or child. Commitment to Public Health Reforms The Commissioner added that, in line with the vision of Chief Minister Punjab Maryum Nawaz Sharif, the primary objective of the ongoing public health reforms is to deliver quality medical facilities directly to the citizens’ doorsteps and protect future generations from permanent disability. He ordered all concerned officers to utilize all available resources to ensure 100% success of the anti-polio campaign and to achieve the designated targets under all circumstances, making Gujranwala Division a completely polio-free zone.
