Gujranwala (July 30, 2026): Under the Health Reforms Program of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, Deputy Commissioner Gujranwala Naveed Ahmed paid a surprise visit to the Gujranwala Teaching Hospital. On this occasion, he inspected various departments, wards, and the emergency of the hospital, conducting a detailed review of the medical facilities being provided to patients.
During the visit, the Deputy Commissioner meticulously reviewed the availability of medicines in the hospital, the attendance of doctors, nurses, and paramedical staff, the overall cleanliness situation, and the functionality of air conditioners. He met with patients under treatment in the wards and their attendants to inquire about the standard of medical treatment and facilities.
Deputy Commissioner Naveed Ahmed issued strict directives to the hospital administration, stating that the provision of quality and non-discriminatory medical facilities to every patient must be ensured in accordance with the Chief Minister’s vision. He made it clear that no negligence or laxity in cleanliness, the availability of medicines, and staff attendance would be tolerated, and strict action would be taken against those found negligent.
