Eid-ul-Fitr likely to happen on Saturday in Saudi Arabia


Saudi Arabia, April,18: The Saawi Gazette report, citing the International Astronomical Center, said that there is no possibility of Shawwal moon sighting on Thursday, 29th of Ramadan, so Eid-ul-Fitr could be on Saturday, April 22.

According to the report, Abu Dhabi-based astronomical institution said in a statement on its Twitter account that this prediction is based on astronomical information and the date of Eid will be confirmed by the relevant authorities based on the sighting of the new moon. It is not possible to see the moon on Thursday with open eyes anywhere in the Arab countries and the Islamic world. In most Arab countries except parts of West Africa starting from Libya, it is not possible to see the moon through telescopes on Thursday, and therefore Eid al-Fitr is most likely to be on Saturday.

On the other hand, there is a possibility of storm and heavy rain on Eid al-Fitr in Saudi Arabia. According to the Saudi Press Agency, meteorologist Muaz Al-Ahmadi said that the weather conditions will remain bad in the first 2 days of Eid al-Fitr. He said that the series of storms and heavy rains will start from Thursday and end on Friday and Saturday, April 21 and 22. The weather conditions will change from Monday, April 24. This weather condition will continue till the end of the first week of Eid-ul-Fitr. He said that during the last days of Ramadan and the days of Eid-ul-Fitr, there will be rain with thunder and hail in many areas due to weather instability. The weather will remain cloudy in the areas of Medina and Makkah, Riyadh, some parts of Tabuk, Al-Jawf, Eastern region.
