Gujranwala (Divisional Bureau Report): Four alleged encounters between the police and criminal elements took place in various areas of Gujranwala, resulting in the deaths of two notorious drug peddlers—who were killed by the firing of their own accomplices—and the arrest of two injured dacoits. City Police Officer (CPO) Dr. Sardar Ghias Gul Khan took immediate notice of all incidents and summoned detailed reports from the respective Divisional SPs. Khiali Police Station Jurisdiction: During an attempt to flee after opening fire at a police checkpoint, accused Ali Sher, who was wanted in multiple drug trafficking cases, was killed by firing from his own accomplices. Illegal weapons were recovered from his possession, while three of his unidentified accomplices managed to escape under the cover of darkness. Aroop Police Station Jurisdiction: During a blockade, a wanted record-holder drug dealer, Muhammad Ilyas, opened indiscriminate fire on a police party. While trying to flee alongside his armed accomplices, he was shot dead by their bullets. Illegal weapons were recovered from the scene, and a search for the fleeing suspects has been initiated. Qila Didar Singh Police Action: Imtiaz Ahmed, a wanted record-holder suspect in robbery and dacoity cases, attempted to escape a police checkpoint but was arrested in an injured state following an exchange of fire. Stolen mobile phones, gold ornaments, cash, a motorcycle, and illegal weapons were recovered from his possession. Peoples Colony Police Action: Wanted suspect Shahroz, involved in several motorcycle thefts and street robberies, was arrested in an injured condition while attempting to flee a checkpoint. A tempered motorcycle and illegal arms were recovered from him. A police spokesperson further stated that special teams under the supervision of respective SDPOs have been formed to arrest all fleeing suspects, and strict snap-checking remains underway across the city
