Jahan Ara Watoo, invited as Chief Guest at Peace centre, Urges “End Racism and Build Peace”.


Islamabad: Jahan Ara Watoo Vice president PBF a politician and human rights activist presented as a chief guest at the Peace centre on International Day of Peace organised by the Father James Chanan at Peace Centre Lahore pakistan In her speech, Jahan Ara Watoo called for unity between Hindus, Muslims and other religious groups, saying that “the only way to achieve lasting peace is through understanding and respect for one another.”

Watoo’s appearance at the peace centre is part of a growing trend of interfaith dialogue in Pakistan. In recent years, the government has made an effort to promote religious tolerance, and there has been a marked increase in the number of Hindu-Muslim cultural events.

khateeb Badshahi Mosque Molana Abdul Khabeer Azad, also attended event alongwith representatives from the Muslim, Hindu, Sikh, and Christian communities. The event was organized by the Father James Chanan, and was attended by notable figures from all of the religious groups.
