KP health department recommends wearing masks till April 30


PESHAWAR March 21 : The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Health Department has recommended people to wear masks at health facilities and crowded and closed places.

The health department said as per the guidelines of the National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC), the citizens should adopt precautionary measures till April 30.

This month 123 cases of coronavirus were reported in KP, the health department said.

On March 16, the National Command and Operation Center (NCOC) had warned the authorities that the coronavirus could rise again in Pakistan.

During the meeting with the stakeholders, the NCOC had issued guidelines to avoid spreading the virus among citizens.

The NCOC had announced to use of face masks mandatory in crowded areas, moreover, Medical centres, hospital staff and patients to follow the strict guidelines released by NCOC.

The NCOC had issued guidelines which will remain enforced till April 30.

On other hand, Spokesperson Sindh Health Minister had said those people getting tested for covid are the ones who are already with covid symptoms – hence the rate of positivity would be high in that regard.
