RIUJ Workers welcome their new torchbearers, Jahangir Aslam as President and Syed Bilal Izzat Naqvi as General Secretary


ISLAMABAD: In a grand event marked by unity and the promise of a brighter future, the Rawalpindi Islamabad Union of Journalists (RIUJ Workers) ushered in its new leadership. The esteemed event was presided over by the brave and honest leader, President of Pakistan Federal Union of Journalists (PFUJ), Pervaiz Shaukat.

 

As the evening unfolded, the newly elected body of RIUJ took their solemn oaths. Jahangir Aslam was sworn in as the President of RIUJ, with Syed Bilal Izzat Naqvi taking the mantle as the Secretary General. Sohail Saddique Ansari pledged his services as the Finance Secretary. The event also saw Syed Anwar Zaidi being inaugurated as the Vice President and Advocate Umair Baloch being designated as the Head of the Legal Wing.

President PFUJ, Pervaiz Shaukat, in his address, extended heartfelt congratulations to the new RIUJ leadership. Highlighting his unwavering support, he stated, “I ensure my full backing to this dynamic team. Together, we will script new chapters of success.”

 

The event was further graced by esteemed personalities from the journalism sector. Senior Journalist and leader, Tahir Rathore, led the accolades and congratulations for the incoming leaders. Other notable attendees and speakers included Vice President Dr. Sadia Kamal, Mian Muhammad Sami, Adeel Raza, Syed Muneeb, Syed Anwar Zaidi, Javaid Noor, Abid Zia, and Zahir Bukhari.

 

The newly elected President and Secretary General, in their maiden speeches, shared their vision and commitment. “We pledge to put our best foot forward, ensuring that the interests and rights of the RIUJ workers are always prioritized,” they remarked.

 

As the event culminated, the attendees were treated to a delightful dinner, symbolizing a shared journey and the hope of prosperous days ahead for RIUJ.
