Gujranwala: Commissioner Gujranwala Division Muhammad Ali paid an emergency visit to Jinnah Stadium, Shamsabad Railway Line Muhalla, Kashmir Park Satellite Town, Tehsil Office, Civil Defense Office, and adjacent important areas.
On this occasion, he detailedly reviewed the post-drainage cleanliness process alongside roads, while Assistant Commissioner City Ashar Jameel was also accompanying him during this time.
During the visit, Commissioner Muhammad Ali meticulously inspected cleanliness arrangements, accumulated mud, garbage, and moisture along the roadsides.
He gave clear instructions to officers of the relevant departments that immediately after the completion of drainage stages, cleanliness work must be completed on an emergency basis so that citizens face no difficulty in movement and are provided with a clean environment.
He stated that alongside removing rainwater, completely cleaning main roads and streets is the top priority of the district administration.
No traces of mud, filth, or debris should remain at any location after drainage.
He directed all relevant institutions to enhance mutual coordination and remain active in the field to closely monitor cleanliness works.
The Commissioner specifically emphasized further improving the standard of cleanliness around Jinnah Stadium and Shamsabad Railway Line, warning that any kind of negligence or carelessness regarding cleanliness affairs in important public places and residential zones will not be tolerated at all.
Finally, he reiterated that prompt redressal of difficulties faced by citizens after rain is the responsibility of the district administration.
All relevant departments should utilize all their resources to ensure drainage and cleanliness targets within the stipulated time and demonstrate practical performance in the field.
