Gujranwala (Divisional Bureau Report): Commissioner Gujranwala Division, Muhammad Ali, paid a surprise visit to the PERA (Punjab Enforcement & Regulatory Authority) City Office Gujranwala and conducted a detailed review of the institution’s field operations, office records, administrative affairs, and overall performance. In light of public and official complaints received prior to the visit, office furniture, official motorcycles, and other operational facilities were also inspected. Commissioner Muhammad Ali expressed strong dissatisfaction while reviewing field operations and current performance. He strictly directed the relevant authorities to: Immediately functionalize and make operational all official motorcycles designated for the field. Ensure the attendance, movement, and assigned duties of field staff through effective monitoring so that enforcement actions yield productive results. He emphasized that strengthening the field monitoring system is crucial for the timely redressal of public grievances and ensuring the rule of law. He urged all officers and staff to discharge their duties with honesty, transparency, and professionalism to enhance public trust in government institutions. During the visit, the Commissioner also met face-to-face with individuals in custody and listened to their issues and concerns. On this occasion, he directed officers to ensure complete impartiality, transparency, and fair legal procedures in every case, emphasizing that no citizen’s legal rights should be violated. Commissioner Muhammad Ali added that in line with the vision of Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif, the performance of all provincial institutions, strict accountability systems, and the quality of public services are being improved. Delivering timely and effective services to the public in Gujranwala remains the government’s top priority, upon which no compromise will be made.
