Gujranwala (July 29, 2026): Commissioner Gujranwala Division Muhammad Ali paid a detailed visit to various areas early in the morning immediately following torrential rains of approximately 180 mm in the city. On this occasion, he visited the Shamsi Underpass Chowk to personally review the drainage arrangements, while Deputy Commissioner Naveed Ahmed and MPA Muhammad Nawaz Chohan accompanied him.
During the visit, Commissioner Muhammad Ali inspected Gull Road, Model Town, Haidari Underpass Disposal Station, and Kashmir Colony. He directed WASA authorities to keep the disposal stations operational at full capacity to ensure the immediate evacuation of rainwater and prevent any disruption to traffic flow in the city. He further stated that all relevant institutions should remain on high alert in view of the monsoon to provide maximum relief to the citizens.
