Gujranwala (Bureau Report: Khalid Butt): Deputy Commissioner Gujranwala, Naved Ahmed, paid an emergency visit to Gakhar and conducted a detailed inspection of various areas and agricultural lands submerged by rainwater due to recent monsoon rains. During the visit, the Deputy Commissioner issued strict directives to the Assistant Commissioner Wazirabad and officers of all relevant departments to take immediate drainage and emergency measures. All concerned staff were emphasized to remain alert and active in the field, while ensuring the earliest possible removal of water from affected areas. On this occasion, it was assured that water would be completely drained from the submerged paddy fields within the next one to two days.
Prominent business figure and farmer leader Shazib Sardar Cheema was also present during the visit, strongly highlighting the rights and issues of farmers. On this occasion, Chaudhry Shazib Sardar Cheema extended a special thanks to MNA Chaudhry Bilal Farooq Tarar, upon whose special directive and personal interest the Deputy Commissioner of Gujranwala visited the affected areas and the paddy crop worth millions of rupees that had come under water, in order to remedy the losses faced by the farmers.
