Gujranwala: July 31, 2026: Deputy Commissioner Gujranwala, Naveed Ahmad, made a surprise visit to the Sub-Registrar Office City Urban One. During the visit, he expressed strong displeasure over the Sub-Registrar’s absence from the office and immediately ordered the issuance of a show-cause notice.
The Deputy Commissioner conducted a detailed review of the facilities being provided to citizens in the registry branch. On this occasion, he directed the Additional Deputy Commissioner Revenue to ensure all necessary steps for public convenience on a priority basis. To promote transparency and improve monitoring, he also instructed that modern CCTV cameras be installed in all registry branches and connected to the central control room system.
DC Naveed Ahmad made it clear that staff posted in the registry branches for long periods should be transferred immediately, with implementation expected today. He reiterated that, in line with the vision of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, strict action will be taken against negligence, absenteeism, and elements harassing the public in government offices, as providing transparent and timely services to citizens remains the top priority of the district administration.
