Gujranwala: July 31: An important video link meeting was held under the chairmanship of Commissioner Gujranwala Division Muhammad Ali and Regional Police Officer (RPO) Khurram Shahzad Haider Warraich. The primary purpose of the meeting was to review foolproof security arrangements for the Azad Jammu and Kashmir elections, Chhlum, and Youm-e-Istehsal Kashmir, with Deputy Commissioners and District Police Officers (DPOs) from across the division participating via video link.
During the meeting, detailed deliberations were held on security plans for sensitive polling stations and key installations for the AJK elections, as well as for gatherings (majalis) and processions related to Chhlum and Youm-e-Istehsal Kashmir. Commissioner Muhammad Ali directed that security arrangements across all districts be reviewed afresh and optimal coordination between the administration and police be ensured.
RPO Khurram Shahzad Haider Warraich emphasized to police officers that personnel deployed on security duty must be briefed in advance, and anyone attempting to violate the law or disrupt peace and order should be dealt with an iron hand. At the conclusion of the meeting, all officers expressed their resolve to utilize all available resources to protect the lives and property of citizens and maintain a peaceful environment.
