District Mosque Committee Meeting Held in Gujranwala

A meeting of the District Mosque Committee was held under the chairmanship of Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Gujranwala, Zeeshan Nadeem, to review 18 cases pertaining to mosques and places of worship.

Key Decisions of the Meeting:

  • Approvals: The committee granted approval for the issuance of No Objection Certificates (NOCs) for 6 cases that met all legal requirements.
  • Rejections: 7 cases were rejected due to violations of rules and regulations.
  • Pending Matters: Further reports were requested for 4 cases, and 1 case was postponed with instructions to complete the necessary documentation.

The meeting was attended by committee members, including Allama Jawad Qasmi and Muhammad Yousuf Khokhar, along with other relevant officials.

Addressing the participants, Additional Deputy Commissioner Zeeshan Nadeem stated that mosques and seminaries serve as centers for peace, tolerance, and interfaith harmony in society. He urged the religious scholars (Ulema) to use their sermons to promote messages of patience, unity, and adherence to the law. The participants commended the government’s initiative to ensure a transparent process for the issuance of NOCs.
