CPO Syed Shehzad Nadeem Bukahri Sets Example with Proactive Planning in Murree.
Rawalpindi: Pakistan needs officers such as CPO Syed Shehzad Nadeem Bukahri, since he is a fine example for all other officers. He visited and attended to trouble in Murree before the approaching snowfall and suggested safety measures for tourist visitors. It was not executed before, due to the lack of knowledge in Pakistan officers. They commenced operations only after the extreme weather has passes.
As On January 2022, a snowstorm occurred in Murree District, in the Punjab province of Pakistan, dropping more than 4 feet (1.2 m) of snow, killing 23 domestic tourists who had visited to see the snowfall. Many died as temperatures fell to around negative 8 degrees Celsius.
Bukhari held meetings with local authorities to discuss how best to secure the safety of visitors. He also spoke at length about the weather conditions that may be encountered during this time of year and how best to deal with them. He laid out a plan for emergency services that would be available in case of any medical emergencies or other issues that could arise while tourists are visiting.
