ISLAMABAD – In an outstanding act of bravery and investigative acumen, Station House Officer (SHO) Ashfaq Memon of Karachi Company Police Station has captured two key operatives of the notorious drug-dealing gang, Amir Muri, who have hitherto remained elusive to the authorities.
Raza Waris and Qaiser Muneer, both henchmen of the infamous Amir Muri, have been involved in the sale of potent and dangerous narcotics including Heroin, Ice, MDMA, and E tablets. Disturbingly, their territory of operation has been the educational institutes of Islamabad, including renowned institutions like KIPS University and other Colleges of Islamabad.
In a landmark bust member of the notorious gang, Qaiser Muneer S/O Muneer Masihi, a resident of Hinsa Colony, G/8-1, was captured in an empty plot next to KIPS University, G/9 Markaz. He was caught red-handed with 2500 grams of brown Heroin powder and 300 grams of Ice. His Honda 125 motorcycle (BMP-276) was also confiscated. The police registered FIR No. 809/23 was registered under CNSA-9(1)6d 15 CNSA.
The second member of the same gang Raza Waris S/O Waris Masihi, a resident of Nazimabad, Rawalpindi, was apprehended in the park near Model College for Boys G/9-4, Islamabad. Upon search, a white leather bag containing a whopping 2500 grams of brown Heroin powder was found. His motorbike (RIP-7021) was also taken into custody. Consequently, FIR No. 810/23 was registered under CNSA-9(1)6d 15 CNSA.
Both Waris and Muneer confessed that they were acting under the orders of Amir Muri. They admitted to specifically targeting young students of educational institutions to get them hooked on their lethal concoctions.
In a conversation with Daily Information Times, a resolute SHO Ashfaq Memon revealed, “I had been tracking them through my informers. Rest assured, I aim to dismantle all such gangs peddling poison in my area. Our young generation is the future of Pakistan, and we won’t allow anyone to ruin it.”
SHO Ashfaq Memon’s diligence aligns with the directives of IG Islamabad, Dr. Akbar Nasir Khan, and DIG Operations, Syed Shehzad Nadeem Bukhari, who have issued clear instructions for the elimination of drug dealers.
The success of these arrests brings hope and relief to the citizens of Islamabad. It showcases the commitment of our law enforcement agencies to combat the drug menace plaguing our society. Under the leadership of steadfast officers like Ashfaq Memon, the dark cloud of drug abuse hanging over our future generation could very well be dispelled.
