Wahab Riaz and his wife welcomed the birth of their son


Lahore, Apr 18 : Pakistani cricketer and Provincial Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs of Punjab, Wahab Riaz, and his wife Zainab have been blessed with a son. Sharing a picture of his late father on his Twitter account, the left-arm fast bowler announced that Allah has blessed their family with a third child, a son.

The 37-year-old cricketer further said, “Once again, Sikander has returned to my life. Sikander has been a part of my life since I opened my eyes and will remain so. Miss you, Abbu, I am remembering you the most.”

After the announcement by Wahab Riaz, congratulations messages were sent by fellow cricketers, friends, and fans for the test cricketer born in Lahore and his family.

It is worth mentioning here that the left-handed pacer has two daughters, Eshal and Hoorain Riaz. With his fast pace and aggression, Wahab Riaz remained an integral part of the national team for almost a decade and represented the Men in Green in the 2011, 2015, and 2019 World Cups. The cricketer born in Lahore had announced his retirement from red-ball cricket but still hopes to make a comeback to the national team for white-ball cricket. At the beginning of this year, Wahab Riaz had said, “My goal is to play the 2023 World Cup, and after that, I will bid cricket goodbye in Pakistan. I want to play leagues around the world.”
