KARACHI: Renowned corporation executive and leader of United Business Group SM Muneer passed away on Monday after a brief illness. He was 77.
Before his demise, he attended a function organised in honour of Sindh governor at Korangi Association of Trade and Industry (KATI) on Monday afternoon.
According to former chairman of KATI, Farhanur Rehman, Muneer was running temperature during the KATI event. After the function he was taken to a private hospital but his condition deteriorated.
The funeral prayers of the deceased will be offered at Al Hamra Society in Karachi.
Sindh Governor Kamran Tessori, President Pakistan Business Forum Mian Usam Zulfiqar, Vice President Pakistan Business forum Ahmed Jawad, former president of FPCCI Mian Nasir Hayat Magun, Chairman of Rufi Group Manzoor Rufi, Chief Executive of TDAP Zubair Motiwala, Atiq Mir, Karachi Chamber President Tariq Yousuf, Federation President Irfan Iqbal Sheikh and representatives of other chambers of commerce and industry have expressed deep grief and sorrows over the death of SM Muneer.
