GUJRANWALA: In line with Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif’s Health and Education Reforms Programmes, Deputy Commissioner (DC) Gujranwala, Naveed Ahmad, conducted surprise visits to the Gujranwala Medical Teaching Hospital (DHQ) and Government High School Wanyawala to inspect service delivery and administrative standards.

Under the Chief Minister’s Health Reforms Programme, Deputy Commissioner Naveed Ahmad made an unannounced visit to the teaching hospital to assess the quality of healthcare being provided to the public.
Inspections Made: The DC thoroughly inspected the emergency ward, various general wards, and other key departments. He also checked the attendance register of the doctors, paramedical staff, and support duty officers.
Patient Interaction: He met with patients and their attendants, inquiring about the availability of free medicines, the behavior of the medical staff, and the overall facilities provided at the hospital.
Directives Issued: DC Naveed Ahmad directed the hospital management and staff to ensure the provision of top-notch medical facilities. He warned that any negligence or slackness in patient care would not be tolerated under any circumstances. He also appealed to the citizens to cooperate with the hospital administration to maintain order and cleanliness. - Visit to Government High School Wanyawala (Summer Vacation Care)
Moving to the educational sector under the Chief Minister’s Education Reforms Programme, the Deputy Commissioner paid a surprise visit to Government High School Wanyawala.
Inspections Made: Since schools are currently closed for summer holidays, the DC inspected the security protocols, classrooms, and checked the attendance of the non-teaching and administrative staff on duty. He also reviewed the overall maintenance and upkeep of the school building.
Directives Issued: He directed the school administration to take strict measures for the security of school property and to maintain high standards of cleanliness inside classrooms and corridors during the holidays.
Greenery & Environment: The DC specifically emphasized the proper watering and maintenance of the school lawns and plants.
