Gujranwala: Police Operations Against Criminals; 01 Suspect Killed, 04 Arrested in Injured Condition Gujranwala (Correspondent): Gujranwala Police, during its ongoing operation against criminal elements across the district, has killed one suspect and arrested four others in an injured condition following five major encounters. CPO Dr. Sardar Ghias Gul Khan has taken notice of all incidents and sought detailed reports from the divisional SPs. The most significant operation took place in the jurisdiction of the Ladhewala Waraich Police Station, where a suspect named Mumtaz, who was wanted in a heinous case of sexually assaulting his own daughter, was killed due to firing by his own accomplices. A 30-bore pistol was recovered from the suspect’s possession, while two of his accomplices managed to escape. In other operations, police from Gakhar Mandi, Satellite Town, Sadr Kamoke, and Alipur Chattha police stations arrested 04 proclaimed offenders and record-holders in an injured condition following encounters involving cases of robbery, motorcycle theft, and attempted murder. According to the police, illegal weapons and stolen motorcycles have been recovered from all the suspects. The CPO stated that operations against criminal elements will continue indiscriminately to establish a peaceful society.
