Police attempts to arrest former Punjab Chief Minister from his residence


April, 28 : Former Chief Minister of Punjab and President of the Justice Movement, Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi’s residence was raided by police and an anti-corruption team.

Police attempted to arrest Chaudhry Pervez Elahi. Punjab police were successful in entering the former Chief Minister’s house. According to sources, the police used a battering ram to break the main gate of the house and entered inside.

The Punjab police are attempting to arrest Chaudhry Pervez Elahi. For this purpose, the Punjab police’s anti-corruption team, Lady Police officers, and Anti-Rights Force officers arrived at Chaudhry Pervez Elahi’s house located on Zahoor Elahi Road in Lahore.

Police officers attempted to break the gate of the house, but failed. However, they managed to enter the house by breaking through the walls. During this time, the police had to face resistance from the workers.

Due to the stone-throwing, police officers who entered the house were forced to retreat. The police are attempting to break the gate of Chaudhry Pervez Elahi’s house again.

It has been reported that the police are attempting to arrest the former Chief Minister of Punjab in a case registered in Gujranwala. Zahoor Elahi has been closed off and Canal Road in Gulberg has also been closed off by heavy police presence.

Three individuals who were throwing stones at Pervez Elahi’s house have been arrested. Pervez Elahi’s house has several rooms and the police have reached the rooms by now.
